Description
My friend Bixbyiter recently unveiled a new fursona design, and I wanted to give drawing the new white spaniel design a try. I also decided to try out the rule of thirds in the composition such that the upper right window view measures exactly 1/3 of the length of the sides of the picture. I've worked to fill in the background with a few personal touches to represent Ophe's interests and tastes.
As for the title, someone who is of letters is a learned scholar with aptitude for writing and understanding the written word. Devotion to one's studies is something I respect and admire, and I thought it only fitting to draw their fursona with a lot of books, some written notes in a binder, and a laptop for writing. There's also some tea and banana bread featured nearby. The spheres on the bookcase shelves are varieties of pokeballs from the Pokemon franchise. I used a wooden texture for the bookcases, an existing keyboard pattern, and a photograph of a stack of books as helpful references to complete the picture.

AH Im so so sorry abt how late this is, I just finished up my second semester!! I apologise profusely omg though this has lent me a lot of strength, thank you so much fox. This is super nice and literally you invoked rule of thirds so well, I think the composition is great??/ It's super professional in how you arranged like, everything, even the item placement draws attention to my sona, it's really effective. It definitely looks like really well-considered and accomplished. Im also really honored by all the attention to detail, all those bananas are making me hungry (literally this has been a picture of me over the last 3 months...) and the assortment of pokeballs is such a thoughtful touch, thank you!! I really especially love how you drew my sona tbh, the drawing itself is really really cute - I really like the foreshortening and bold shapes of the hind legs especially, how you conveyed all that anatomy with only like a silhouette, thats super impressive?? The lil feet are also..so cute. Same with the face too honestly like it's really cool how you pulled off that 3d look just with outlines with minimal detail, it keeps the style really refreshing and cute?? The eyes are also so adorable omg. I love their kinda whipped cream texture of their hair too, it's a really nice contrast to the smooth lines of their limbs and stuff?? Ah I love this so much and the thoughtfulness behind it means the world to me, thank you!! Nothing has gone unappreciated, I can assure you. Thank you so much fox!!!
